Harvard Business School Round 1 interview invites are around the corner! The school announced today the next steps in the application process for round 1 applicants. To all of you who applied to Harvard Business School in round 1, your wait is almost over! We know the waiting sucks so below is a cheat sheet to the process!
- At noon, EST, on October 8th, HBS will release ~800 interview invites
- At noon, EST, on October 15th, HBS will release an additional ~150 interview invites
- No - it does not matter which round you get invited in
- The emails will contain detailed instructions on how to go through the process
- NO 2+2 invites will be sent on October 8th - ONLY on October 15th
- October 15th is also the date HBS will release its "for further consideration" emails - this is essentially a deferral to R2
- No, it isn't a ding - but it isn't an invite either - we get it - hang tough!
- HBS really isn't interested in additional information at this point so do yourself a favor and don't send anything
- Also, if you're not moving forward in the process they'll tell you on October 15th
Initial reaction to round 1 applications from the admissions committee has been "Wow, this is a strong group - really strong!" If that isn't a sign that competition for a spot in a top MBA program will continue to be fierce, we don't know what is!
